I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that...I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very rare 2005 Jaguar X-Type 3.0L wagon with just 124k original miles. I would rate the exterior of this Jaguar to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for its age and mileage. If you follow my auctions, you'll know that I rarely give the "excellent" rating to any vehicle. I save that for the most unusually clean examples, and this rare Jag deserves it. It is finished in Silver over Black leather interior, which is a good color combination. The Silver finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass all around. I won't go as far as to say this Jaguar is perfect, but you'd have to walk around it with a magnifying glass to find anything worth complaining about. There is barely a scratch to be found. Even the front bumper is virtually free of chips and road rash. The body lines are perfectly straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Jaguar. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how exceptionally clean this X-type came in. I would also rate the interior of this Jaguar to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are thick and full looking throughout the interior. A full set of factory floor mats are inlcuded. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather trimmed seats are soft, supple and show virtually no wear. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good through the factory Alpine speakers. It is the optional full touch screen audio system with built in GPS Navigation. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The original cargo cover and divider is included and is in perfect condition. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this rare Jaguar. It comes with two master keys, a full set of original books and the original windows sticker. Mechanically, this X-Type appears to be in good running and driving condition. The optional 3.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. You can feel a little age in the front bushings over rough surfaces, which is common for these cars at this age. On normal roads, the ride is supple and composed. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. I've personally put the last 300+ miles on this Jaguar and it is an absolute pleasure to drive. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The AWD system is tested and working properly. The X-Type uses a very simple AWD system, which makes it very reliable and capable. If you're looking at this auction and you've read this far, you probably know exactly what you're looking at. The X-Type wagon is very, very rare. Total production of this car comes in at around 4,300 units...worldwide. The vast majority of these stayed in Europe. I've not found reliable import numbers, but it is thought that maybe 1,500 of these made it across the Atlantic.
