1999 VW Cabrio, 2.0L 4 cyl.engine, automatic transmission, pwr. windows, A/C. The VW needs a head gasket replacement as confirmed by cylinder leak-down and compression tests. The car does run. Both left and right lower control arms/bushings have been recently replaced along with new rear struts. The fuel pump is also new.There is a minor dent on the driver's side of the car, the driver's side rear view mirror needs replacing, and there is a tear that runs along the rear of the convertible top,the rest of the exterior is in good condition.The front seats are worn-looking so seat covers are necessary, the rugs and back seats are in good condition.Change the head gasket and have fun driving anywhere, immediately!

I've enjoyed the car for 10 years. I bought it from a college student (a senior) who was getting married and moving away for $3500.I then replaced the cracked windshield ($100.), put in a new AM/FM CD ($200.) and right headlight component ($180) and just had the engine value gaskets replaced (it was due to mileage,not burning oil) $380 because I was debating about keeping it. Why am I selling it so cheaply. I own 2 trucks and am 69 years old and a little tired of "my toy" as my wife calls it. I want it to go to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.It drives and runs very well...back tires are a little worn (but I know the tire shop I purchased them from --2 would cost $30. each) and to have it detailed would cost (up to $200) and all this I will deduct from the asking price.In the future I know you'll need a brake job, but not now.Also the convertible canvas top is in great shape except on one right side seem near the back window. I ran black Gorilla tape (as you can see in the photo) over the seem. No leakage what-so-ever. A new top with a plastic back window costs over $500..this one is a heated glass back window. So, I would forget about replacing it since you have the top down most of the time. Also, it has a working Factory Anti-theft Alarm System and Heated Black Leather Seats. Leather. Interior leather in excellent condition/No rips or cuts or sun damage.That's about it. Let me know if you are interested. Contact me with any questions.
