Selling a very original 1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet Best Seller Edition. This car was owned by an older woman since 2005 and was her “condo car” while she spent Winters in Fort Myers, Florida. It was always stored undercover, has14 years of service records while she owned it and has a clean CARFAX. I went through the car, serviced it, replaced a few things and tuned it up. The overall condition of the car is excellent. It just turned over 140,000 miles and it is one of the nicest ones I’ve come across. It now runs and drives excellent and everything works as it should - including the factory a/c, all of the gauges and lights. I did install a new battery. The original radio works, but I replaced all of the speakers. The interior is very nice as seen in the pictures with no rips, tears or excessive wear. The headliner is clean and in perfect condition as is the factory boot cover. I installed custom black with red trim floor mats. The top is original with no cracks or tears and is still very supple. The only flaw is one of the small loops that the boot attaches to is missing. The paint overall is in great shape with small dings taken out. Several of the panels on the car have been repainted - I’ve seen this on other single stage painted Cabriolets which fade as the paint ages. There is no evidence of rust or body damage. Runs great! BRAND NEW TIRES. A/C - works. But air flow only from the side vents and nothing from the two center vents. Heat works. Radio - new Pioneer with hands-free phone Tires - new. Maybe 35 miles on them. Interior - far better shape than most. Driver's side seat bottom worn from butts sliding across getting in and out. Boot - convertible top boot in great shape Top - as far as I know, it's original. It does have a stress crack as pictured. It has been kept down 99.9% of the time I've had her for five years. She has lived in a garage the past five years and only went out on beautiful days. Windshield - common issue with rust on the windshield cowling. Miles - 120,752. Only just under 3k put on her in the past five years. Power windows - operational, but you do need to hit the sweet spot on driver's side. Probably just needs a new switch, but always works when you find the right spot. Normal expected wear on body, nothing major. Trunk - fully operational and locking Gas Cap - fully operational and locking Glove Compartment - fully operational and locking Rear roll-down windows - fully functioning Seats - slightly loose. Driver's side seat will not go forward, rear seat passengers need to use passenger side door. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of listing end. Selling this hard to find Nugget Yellow 1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet with a clean CARFAX and 116,200 miles. This car was purchased from an older couple that purchased it from their neighbors. The car has a very nice new 2-stage paint job in it’s original color and it also has a new top and windshield. The wheels are newly refurbished “snowflakes” and the tires are also brand new. The interior is in good overall condition with no major tears or worn spots. The headliner is clean and has one very small tear. The carpeting is in excellent shape. Mechanically the the car runs, shifts and drives excellent. The transmission was replaced with a VW mechanic rebuilt unit - due to a bad syncro. The clutch and flywheel were also replaced and all of the shifter bushings are new. The front hub bearings were both replaced and the brakes and rotors were recently replaced. The timing belt had been recently done and new plugs were installed. The a/c had been converted to 134a, was charged and blew cold.
