VW Eurovan Camper in excellent condition! I am the third owner and have service records from the previous owners. This Eurovan has been very well maintained and it runs and drives excellent. I think it would be hard to find a nicer one under $30k. Everything works on the van and with such great maintenance over the years is runs and drives really well. The transmission was replaced at 70k miles.Within the last 15k miles the following service has been performed:· New drive axles· New front wheel bearings· Fuel injectors and manifold gasket· Secondary air pump replaced· New rotors and pads on all 4 wheels· Air and cabin filters replaced· New water pump and serpentine belt· New engine batteryLast year I installed a new house battery (two deep cycle 6v golf cart batteries hooked up in series) and I replaced the original charger with a ProMariner ProSport 12 charger which is a dramatic improvement over the antiquated chargers that were originally fit on the Eurovans. The ProSport 12 offers a dual 12 amp charger so it can charge both the house and engine batteries when the van is plugged into shore power. It has precise voltage regulation with modern charging profiles that allow it to function as a battery tender to keep the batteries in good condition. Because I had to remove the furnace to install the new charger, I decided to install a new furnace at the same time to possible save a lot of time down the road if the furnace failed. I also replaced all the interior lights with LED lights so there is very low electrical draw on the batteries from the interior lights. I replaced the stereo system with a new head unit with Bluetooth and handsfree calling as well as all 6 speakers. It sounds really nice. There are several upgrades on this Eurovan that really enhance the driving and camping experience.· New poptop tent from GoWesty made with the highest quality fabric and screens· GoWesty lift kit which includes 16” wheels, Bilstein Extra Heavy Duty Shocks and ½” coil spring spacers. Not only does this lift kit add valuable ground clearance, it improves the handling substantially.· Roof rack tracks from GoWesty that were professionally installed which make it possible to add a roof rack and can also be used to easily mount solar panels to the roof.· Thule load bars and roof rack feet that connect to the roof tracks and can be slid up and down the tracks to the desired location.· Sidewinder II awning· Full custom car cover especially for the Eurovan Camper from GoWesty· Memory foam mattress from Ikea custom cut to the size of the stock mattress for added comfort.· New propane tank and regulator I purchased from GoWesty intending to replace the current tank when it runs out of propane. The current tank works fine but it is showing its age. The paint is still shiny and there isn’t any rust on the van but there are a few bumper dings and scratches and would expected for the age. The previous owner sprayed some touch-up paint right behind the doors for some reason and it blends pretty well but you can see the paint lines if you look closely. All the blinds function properly and the rear window and front windshield curtains are also there. I replaced the ignitor and burner on the refrigerator last summer because it wasn’t working on propane and while it does currently work on propane, ac and dc, these fridges are always a bit temperamental on propane. I planned on adding solar power and replacing the fridge with high efficiency 12 volt model (a common modification on Eurovans) but never got around to it. I haven’t owned this van for long but I used it frequently as a beach vehicle and camped a few times last summer but it’s a little tight for a family of 3 traveling long distances which is my hope for this summer and the reason I’m selling as I just bought a larger class B camper. Needs Love, This vehicle is the perfect vehicle to make your own custom Eurovan Camper. The engine runs very well with no fluid leaks or noises. The transmission is having shifting problems, I would assume it needs to be rebuilt. The body is in fair to average condition. It has been repainted at some point in its 25 years, The body is solid, but the typical rust that happens around the LP hook area is rusted (see photos) Interior is good condition with average wear and tear. The transmission shifts and drives in Reverse and Drive however it does not go into its final cruising gear, 1-3 gear are fine. Camping equipment- Furnace works great, Burners for stove top, left side operates to spec, right side is weak. Holding tanks- fresh water has a leak ( couldn't source the spot) grey water is fine. The pump for the sink and rear shower works to spec. Inverter works to spec, shoreline power works to spec, LP tanks are good and hold pressure. Fridge works to spec.
